Rick, you might not see it, but in the face of some really tough things, you’ve held your head high and I see you on such a great path. You are a great leader and such a caring man. Your heart is so strong. You care so deeply for other people and when you do, it is a bond that won’t break and in the face of so many financial challenges, that has NEVER stopped you from sharing. EVER! That is so honorable—and a trait that I do not possess and I think is one of the most wonderful, generous attributes. Seriously, without a doubt, you have enriched my life. With our flipping messed up family with half of them out on their own trip, you were someone all along I could count on—good, bad, ugly—you do not run away. You are a loving fighter and it is a wonderful blessing to have you as a brother.
I mean every word of that--take it into your heart and please use it (alongside God’s love for you) to block out those negative messages dad has shared with you and other influences might have used to hurt you. I am here for you and I care of you and if ever you need a friend, I got you dude. Thank God we have each other right!?!?!
